CyGlass, a SaaS AI-driven network threat detection solution, focused on protecting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) is now recognised as a Digital Security Provider by the Police Digital Security Centre (PDSC) a not-for-profit organisation, owned by the police that works to protect small and medium organizations across the whole of the UK.

With 65,000 cyber security attacks on UK SMEs daily, and 41% of UK consumers claiming they will never return to a business that has had a security breach, investing in cyber security has never been more important for SMEs, who often struggle to find the expertise and funding to implement effective cyber security. The PDSC developed the Digital Security Provider certification scheme in collaboration with BSI (British Standards Institution) to help SMEs make informed decisions when choosing cybersecurity technology and promotes vendors who take time to understand their customers and deliver solutions that are tailored to their needs.

As part of their certification, CyGlass underwent a robust accreditation process and was able to demonstrate that they had taken the necessary security steps to instill confidence in their product and supply chain, as well as demonstrating that they help end-users choose effective and appropriate cyber security solutions. The certification recognises that CyGlass can provide solutions in the field of digital security which genuinely solve their clients’ problems.

Cheyne Marley, Cyber Development Officer at the Police Digital Security Centre, said: “The accreditation of CyGlass marks another step forward in reducing the vulnerability of SME’s from cyber-attacks. Being part of a major UK company, CyGlass represents cutting edge cyber-attack solutions. Achieving the Trust mark awarded by the PDSC reflects the processes in place to ensure that CyGlass are matching the expectations of anyone seeking a trustworthy organisation. We at the PDSC look forward to working with CyGlass over the coming years”.

Ed Jackowiak, President of CyGlass, said “We’re incredibly proud to be certified by the Police Digital Security Centre (PDSC) and fully support the groundbreaking work they do to help reduce cybercrime. There is no doubt that working towards a more secure society will take collaboration across the private and public spheres. When it comes down to it, cybersecurity is about people. Protecting them from falling victim to attack or having their data compromised. In no place is this truer than in the SME sector where relationships with clients are critical to business success.”

CyGlass’s Network Defence as a Service (NDaaS) is a cloud solution that uses Advanced

Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning in combination with a powerful policy engine, continuously analyzing billions of conversations happening on a company’s network or remote workers connecting through a VPN to learn what is normal. It responds when suspicious behaviours that risk the security of a company’s critical IT assets or network.

CyGlass delivers actionable intelligence in the form of a Network CyberScore.

The core was technology funded and validated by US Intelligence agencies and DoD.

The PDSC is part of Police Crime Prevention Initiatives, a police-owned, not-for-profit organisation that works on behalf of the Police Service throughout the UK to deliver a wide range of crime prevention initiatives to reduce crime, as well as acting as a catalyst to bring

together public and private sector organisations to create safer communities.

As well as law enforcement, the PDSC works in partnership with industry, government, and academia in support of the Government’s ambition to make the UK one of the safest places to do business online.

The PDSC is focused on helping SMEs reduce their vulnerability to cyber-crime and fraud by raising awareness about the most common types of cyber-crime and the simple steps they can take to protect themselves. All advice and guidance is consistent with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC).
